What is fiberclay, and why choose it?
Fiberclay is a composite of clay and glass fibre. It has the look of terracotta and stone, but is far lighter and more durable.
October 10, 2026 · MOGRAHow fiberclay works
Clay gives the planter a natural look and feel. Glass fibre reinforces the body. Together they make a thin-walled but strong shell, so even large planters stay easy to move.
Compared with concrete and terracotta
- Weight: far lighter than concrete or stone planters of the same size, reducing load on terraces and balconies.
- Strength: more resistant to knocks than terracotta; edges do not chip easily.
- Outdoors: resists frost, UV and rain. With proper drainage it can stay outside all year.
- Look: Utah, Texa, volcano, brick and granite finishes give the look of natural stone.
Where to use it
Fiberclay planters work in hotel lobbies, villa terraces, restaurant gardens and office entrances. Because one series can be used indoors and outdoors, a project can carry the same look from living room to terrace.
Choosing the right planter
Consider the plant's root volume, the scale of the space and the floor the planter will stand on. Every MOGRA series page has a size table. If you are unsure, message us on WhatsApp.
